We are now in February and that means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. And even if you don’t have that special someone to spend the day with, I think we can all agree that it is a great holiday for candy! Plus they’re expecting a big increase of candy buyers this year, so you might want to find your favorites fast.
I’ve found a list of the #1 candies by state for Valentine’s Day and I gotta say, I do not agree with most of them. Some of the candies I had never heard of… but not surprisingly conversation hearts were at least in the top 3 of all the states in our area. Which is almost too obvious because those are literally only in stores around Valentine’s Day.
The following are the #1 candies for the states in our immediate area:
- Pennsylvania: M&M’s
- Maryland: M&M’s
- West Virginia: Cupid Corn (I had never heard of this candy before)
- Virginia: Conversation Hearts
I was a little surprised that M&M’s were the #1 for PA I figured a Hershey’s product would’ve been the #1. I’d much rather have a Hershey’s Kiss than M&M’s, but they’re not even in PA’s top 3!
